Cloud computing allows the users of a network to access their data and applications from any device, anytime and basically anywhere. Because data is accessed over the internet on your Cloud provider’s servers, management and employees have 24/7 access wherever and whenever they need it. Whether a person is at a hotel, business meeting, on vacation or working remotely … The Cloud allows a user to access their vital business info anywhere, anytime and from multiple different devices.  We have a variety of options to achieve this:

DataShell Drive

DataShell Drive provides cloud storage for your files, letting you mirror a single drive across multiple machines; meaning your data is easy to reach from any of your computers direct from the desktop, phone, tablet or via the DataShell web portal.  The drive also allows you to share any files privately or publicly with anyone, ideal for large files.  Prices for DataShell Drive are per 500GB up to a maximum of 2TB.  You can also backup all your files across multiple machines with DataShell online backup with unlimited storage!  More info here

Office 365 is Microsoft’s cloud version of Office.  The cloud is an industry term for an off-site file hosting service. When working with Office 365 files, you upload and synchronize files with Windows SkyDrive (Microsoft’s cloud). If you want to access files from different locations or devices that don’t have Office, this works to your advantage. You can also store files locally; your files belong to you.  Other users within your organisation can access and share files with yourself wherever you are.

You can also access and work on files on Tablets and mobile devices.   You’ll connect via the internet, download the appropriate files, and go to work. There are no installation discs.

Office 365 also includes Microsoft hosted e-mail exchange, see more on this here
